Fall Membership Dinner: VERDICTS

The plaintiff was an immigrant from Ghana and employed as a tractor trailer operator.  He was rearended by another tractor trailer.  In the course of that collision, he fractured three teeth and suffered a cervical sprain.  The jury deliberated for an hour and a half before returning a plaintiff’s verdict in the amount of $247,032.36.   Sarah Mather represented the plaintiff.

A Bridgeport jury returned a verdict of $15,000,000 in an asbestos/mesothelioma case.   Interestingly, $5,000,000 of that verdict was for loss of consortium   In addition, the jury made a finding in favor of awarding punitive damages.  Brian Kenney and Chris Meisenkothen represented the plaintiff.

A Torrington jury, yes, Torrington, returned a verdict of $1,416,865.  The case involved a two car collision where the jury determined that the defendant was speeding despite testimony to the contrary from the defendant’s expert.    The medical bills were $190,000 and the plaintiff had a two level fusion  to the neck.  Garrett Moore, Jr. and Chrysten Dufour represented the plaintiff.
